A 'VL Group' ('VL' is an abbreviation of the Danish word for a top executive) is a network group for top executives, board members or other high-echelon staff members, including from the professions and the public sector.

Experience whos that a 'VL Group' functions well when: The group members have a certain amount of 'collective baggage' by way of experience, attitudes and interests. Individual members respect each other and see each other as equals, haave an open-minded attitude, show confidence in each other and are prepared to contribute and be proactive - not just sit back and listen.

The working committee of each 'VL Group' prepared the group's activities. It is recommended that each group hold 8 to 10 meetings a year on a rotating basis among its members.

As a member of a 'VL Group', top executives may:

  • Exchange experience and discuss attitudes with colleagues at the same level of responsibility.
  • Put one's own thoughts and ideas to the test with respect to business and organizational development and personal growth.
  • Be a part of initiatives involving management, social and economic issues at a high level - in a forum together with individuals that have the same point of departure as oneself.
  • Discuss own problems candidly and inconfidence.
  • Get an overview of topical business and social issues.
  • Get insight into the wider contexts of relevance to personal growth - professionally, functionally and at the human level, and weigh one's owh opinions and attitudes against those of others.

Each 'VL Group' must appoint a liaison officer, who will be in charge of ongoing contact with our secretariat and be the public face of the group. Several 'VL Groups' charge a membership fee. Read more about membership.
