Shifting into high gear

The Tour de France is won in the mountain stages. That's where you separate the sheep from the goats, and the stars from the water carriers. I's when the hills are steepest that the winning strategies are hatched. While all the others are standing still, thinking only of using low gears, someone will shift into a high gear and pull away from the pack. That's the way!

And it's exactly the same in the business world. When hard times appear on the horizon, some companies hold their breath and hope it will go away, while others gain strength from the efforts to come - like drawing adrenalin to increase your performance and creativity. Confronted by the tremendous challenges the market faces today, we nonetheless find companies who continually manage to formulate the right strategies and develop positively. Some made the right choice years ago, but new winning strategies are also arising in all disciplines, such as innovation, management, production, new alliances, branding, etc. How do they do it? What can we learn from them? And how can we bring these winning strategies with us to the other side of the crisis and use them - even when we are once again on the straight with the wind behind us?
